</div>2009 is the year of firsts for Valerie Bertinelli. Back in March she appeared in a bikini on the cover of People magazine after losing 50 pounds, and this weekend she completed the Napa-to-Sonoma Wine Country Half-Marathon. Valerie crossed the finish line in 2:12:19 and commented, "I am in amazement. I can't believe what a body can do if you believe in it."
She had her boyfriend and workout buddy Tom Vitale with her every step of the way, and she ramped up her training regimen during the months leading up to the race. That meant more running, ab-work, and upper body workouts. Valerie is still on a high from finishing the half-marathon, but her trainer thinks she's going to do a full marathon before she's 50. She said, "I have till April. I'm not committing yet! I haven't wrapped my head around it. We're negotiating."
It seems to me that if Valerie puts her mind to something, her body will follow. Her achievements prove that having faith in yourself can work wonders.

</div>Salads are one of my favorite meals because they're low in calories, full of vitamins, nutrients, and fiber, and they taste so fresh. Veggies aren't terribly high in protein though, so I like to add tofu to mine. A half a block of tofu contains 22.5 grams of protein. Plus it's so easy to cook up, you can make a bunch and store it in the fridge for the week.

Authors:
Genre: AU, drama, angst, romance
Spoilers: Through season 4, particularly Turn Left
Characters/Pairings: Ten2/Rose(/Ten), Donna Noble
Summary: From a dingy hotel in Norway, the Doctor and Rose realise something has gone wrong. A timey-wimey interpretation of Turn Left.
Excerpt: Rose knows she is not magical, not omnipotent. She can no longer see the future or the past. She will not live forever; her brief brush with the eternal has not granted her immortality. She is a woman, human, transient. When she thinks about her life so far, she is always shocked by how ludicrous is all seems, how much like a fairytale. Ordinary shop girl falls in love with an exiled prince, the last of his kind, only to be torn from his side by the spiteful hands of time and chance. Ridiculous.
Author's notes: We say "AU", but it could maybe be canon if you disregard a line or two in JE and squint a little. The title is a line from T S Eliot's "The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock", because we're trendy like that, apparently. Much of what you recognize is borrowed from Turn Left, but this is not by any means a simple Turn Left recap.
Parts: One - Two - Three - Four

Title: Twin Solitudes (7/?)
Rating: PG rising to NC-17 from chapter 4.
Characters: Ten/Rose, Jack, OC.
Beta: The amazing
caraskye
Summary: "...love from one being to another can only be that twin solitudes come nearer, recognize and protect and comfort each other." Han Suyin. Charis's life so far has been fraught with grief and unhappiness. Can an old face help her find happiness and can the Doctor and Rose accept the inevitable.
Disclaimer: All recognisable characters and places are not mine they belong to RTD. The children however are another thing...
A/N: Twin solitudes is the third in 'The TARDIS Prophecies' series following immediately from
and
(Links direct to Teaspoon), and I suggest you read those first.
</div>When going down my list of places to apply sunscreen, I often overlook the part in my hair. You wouldn't expect this spot to get that much sun, but if you have a defined hair part and you forget to protect, it can lead to a painful and peculiar sunburn.
The easiest thing to do is to wear a hat or other head covering, but if you dare to go bare, then try spritzing a spray sunscreen along the length of your part. It's less awkward than trying to rub in lotion around your hairline, and this way your hair won't get too greasy.
Title: Constitution (Doctor's POV.)
Series: Watching Her, a post-JE stalker!AU
Rating: G
Pairing: Doctor/Donna
Summary (just for this bit): Tremble with this decision, but be firm once it’s made.
Entire Prologue Summary: The Doctor still struggles after the events of "Journey's End," he dreams, he carries on, or tries, but one day he stumbles upon something that could change his life. Donna's life. (Set in the Doctor's POV for July and likely some of Donna's in August.)
Spoilers: All of S4 to be safe. Fic runs through a similar timeline as ours, so this is the same month and year: July 2009. The specials, save "The Next Doctor," are not taken into account as this is a bit of an alternate universe. That’s both DW and TW specials.
( Once again, he's in the rain...on Donna's street.)
Previous Parts:
Prologue Ficlet One: Nightmares to Dreams, Prologue Ficlet Two: Deviation of a Dream

We also got some very cool revelations last night, and one couple took a big step in their relationship. I'm not going to give anymore away in case there are those out there that haven't read it, so here is my full run-down here at JoeOnTheTube.
Oh I almost forgot. One of my old friends who is an actor had a small part on last night's episode as one of the soilders of the sun (the one that falls and get's helped by Jason while running). He talks to us about what it was like being on set and meeting Alan Ball and the rest of the cast. Very cool indeed.
Eating spicy foods, green peppers, broccoli, beans, meat, dairy products, high fiber cereal, and apples are a few common foods that can result in gas for some people. I'm sure you know exactly what kinds of foods cause your tummy to gurgle and become bloated. So tell me . . .
Valet talks with Robert Geller about his new line of unisex T-shirts. Love the cardigan version. And they're affordable too. [Ed. Note: perhaps "more affordable than his normal stuff" is more accurate...]

I just found tickets in December (Seriously, guys, lots of dates available) but I was wondering about when they go on break. I know this might sound like a dumb question, but the reservation system does take their holidays into account, right? It just seemed odd that all of a sudden, a bunch of dates became available in December...
ETA: Apparently my question was dumber than I thought, so thank you very much to those who withstood my paranoia.

Spoilers: end of s4.
Disclaimer: It all belongs to the Beeb.

Note: This is actually a completed multi-part fic, rather than a work in progress. We'll be posting every week until the entire fic is up.
